Changes

As most of you know, I’ve planted my Nest in Sandusky again. As some of you know, it was to help my son cope with some of the issues that surround his combat PTSD. In some ways he is a lot better (he doesn’t sleep with loaded weapons anymore, but that’s because we took them from him). In other ways he’s a lot worse (I don’t know when he last slept through the night). And so, I’m halting my travels for a while.

However, the main goal is still to save up the money for my land and to head west to build a small home. I’m still looking in the northern region of New Mexico and possibly some of the areas in Colorado. Why these areas? Well, mainly because the land out there is gorgeous. Partly because it’s more affordable. Will it be harder to grow food? Yes, but I’ve grown things in the desert before with great results. With the knowledge that I’ve picked up over the years, I think I’ll do even better.

DSC_0168What does all this mean? For now, it means that some of my sites will expire. Oh, they will still be here, but the domain name will expire and I’m not going to renew them. Instead, I’ll focus on the future and add those annual fees to my savings account. With these changes, this blog will become more of an outlet of my ideas and musings. I hope that you stay with me through the next part of this journey forward.

A brief update:

The cats are doing well, Khaleesi and Bear (Anthony’s cat) get along sometimes but Ofelia is still a huffy aunt-kitty. Ofelia is, however, becoming more affectionate and open with her head butts. Serephina is becoming a craky sourpuss, but I think it’s just that she’s getting older. I’ve been releasing a few more patterns over the months and have a goal of doubling what I currently have (are you interested in knitting some foxy socks?) I’ve also opened up registration for my first session of Crystal Healing! This is big and very exciting to me. And, to be perfectly honest, scary as heck.

I’m sure there’s a lot more, but that’s all I can think of right now.

May your day be filled with awesomeness!
